What would be your ideal 1100 km trip in a TDI?
Yesterday, we had some fun with Google Maps retracing Mike V’s probable route in a Jetta TDI Clean Diesel all the way from Halifax to Montreal’s Bell Centre to attend a hockey game. Then we mapped out the journey of our fearless Toronto fans between Toronto and Montreal.
One thing led to another and we started creating itineraries all over Canada that allowed us to do a bit of armchair travelling. We left Montreal to visit singer Gilles Vigneault, and then we went from Toronto to Virgina Beach. Finally, from Winnipeg, we went to say hello to the Badlands Guardian.
And what about you? What would be your ideal 1100 km trip from a Canadian city look like? Post it here: we’re looking for a few roadtrip ideas

I would LOVE to take a TDI Diesel for a road trip to my in laws place. I live in Northern Alberta and they are on Vancouver Island. Though a bit more then 1100km (Google says it’s 1350ish), the chance to drive all the way there on about one tank of gas, vs. the 3 tanks it now takes me would be AWESOME!!
Oh, and super low emissions is cool to.
The trip would look like this: http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=68+Ave&daddr=49.257582,-124.813614&geocode=FeBkSQMd9rvr-A%3B&hl=en&mra=mi&mrsp=1,0&sz=15&sll=49.261223,-124.809151&sspn=0.022518,0.047808&ie=UTF8&ll=52.146973,-120.102539&spn=10.850982,24.477539&z=6
So, anyone know where I can get a rental/loaner??
